Y’s Mandarina, Spring-Summer 2008
In the Y’s Mandarina collection of spring-summer 2008 Yohji Yamamoto offers a new perspective on women’s handbags. The designer, once again proves that the bag may be a practical and comfortable, while remaining visually attractive.
In 2008, the Italian company Mandarina Duck and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto created a line of handbags called Y’s Mandarina. It is not the first experience of cooperation in this field for Yohji Yamamoto. The designer in conjunction with Adidas produces a line of sports bags under the label Y-3.
The bags Y’s Mandarina are closer in style for the Japanese designer, rather than products of Italian brand. In the spring-summer 2008 collection, likeĀ in past collections, Yohji Yamamoto offers a new variation and bizarre forms of women’s bags, using bright saturated colors (red, yellow, orange, blue) on equal terms with white and black.
