Yellow Bags of Bottega Veneta, Spring/Summer 2010
The mark of Bottega Veneta has always been famous for its designer handbags. However, they are not only good, but also very recognizable – therefore, it makes no sense to talk about the general style of the new collection, let us stop on only three bags.
To review, I chose three yellow bags – because, according to forecasts and the seen collections, it is this color that will become one of “hits” of the spring season.
The first of the models is the classic from Bottega Veneta. Large and roomy tote-bag, woven on principle of baskets is not out of birch bark but of genuine leather. A bright shade of egg yolks draws attention – and the rest of this bag is quite laconic.
The second model is of a simple and flat shape, but its design is more original. Woven fabric, with which the bag is covered, as if unfinished by the masters, and a leather strip running out of rows of slender, forms a fringe. Handles of the bag are equipped with buckles – the handle can be shortened or lengthened with their help.
The third bag of review – is a clutch of lemon-yellow color. It is added with contrasting details – purple runners “lightning” clasps are also made of leather. Leather surface of the clutch is not smooth – it has a modest texture (it seems that these are decorative stitches), highlighting the general style of Bottega Veneta accessories.
