Judith Leiber: Bag – Peacock
As soon as you hear the word peacock a rather typical image usually comes to mind: the proud bird with plumage, iridescent with all rainbow colors ideally managed on the tail.
And what was my surprise when I discovered that upon the creation of the clutch, Shanti Minaudiere Leiber refused many colors, making her peacock-monochrome! The result was a simply delightful evening bag, of course kept in the style of Leiber, but without anatomism. It merely looks like a peacock, but rather has a peacock-like print on it.
Just as any bag from the collection of Crystal, the embroidering is done with a hand- with famous Austrian crystals, but in spite of the clearly painted figure of a bird with their help, yet this clutch looks much more ornate than all the previous “frogs”, “parrots” and other “livestock”.
Dimensions of the handbag are as always literally tiny – 15 x 11, 2 x 3 cm, but you’re not going to bring half of your cosmetics to the social event. And I assure you, you are unlikely to meet one such bag, on the same event because not every woman will decide to spend $ 5,295 to hit all with her uniqueness.
