Ingber Bags : Checked By The Time
There are things that can attract attention of different generations, and are always admired by fashion critics. Such a thing produced a small family factory Ingber & Company in Philadelphia in the first half of 20 century. Accessories from Ingber still remain on the pages of the history of fashion – this is a small legend that has become an inexhaustible source of creativity for modern designers.
Company Ingber & Company was founded in 1903 by two brothers. Issaq and David Ingbery realizing the American dream at those times created a small family business that had good potential for further development. The brand was success until 1960, but did not stand the foreign competition, so the family business began to decline.
In the mids 1940’s the Ingber bags were mentioned in every column of fashion news. During the Second World War the company Ingber & Company enjoyed great success.
Bags Ingber & Co can also be seen in the movie, for example, Ingber & Co Company has created a bag Sarpet for the film “Around The World In 80 Days”.
Senior owner Ingber & Co, David Ingber, valued the most the communication and friendship with their customers. He took into account their views and always took their advice.
David Ingber thought that it is great misconception desire of many manufacturers to make bags for the sake of sales. But what about creativity and the views of consumers? The biggest mistake, in his view – is the production patterns in large volumes.
Through this balanced against the business and respect for its clients brand Ingber was able to keep the leading position in the market for accessories for years. Bags from Ingber are sold up to this day, but now only as exclusive vintage models.
